Year 1 Landscape Collages and Leaf Prints

This week class 1B made winter landscape collages using fabric and paper.

And today we learnt some new words:

Landscape - Picture of scenery such as fields, mountains, trees and rivers.
Horizon - The line where the sky and the land appear to meet.
Collage - Sticking down fabric and paper to make a picture.

These words can be useful when talking about art...

1B also tried their hand at printing. They looked closely at some images of leaves and made a print block from polyboard.

These prints look fantastic 1B - well done. Next week we will be cutting out the prints and adding them to our collages. See the blog next week to find out how they look.
